I consider myself to be a scientist myself. Science has always fascinated me and I have always found it thrilling to learn how an absolute rotary encoder works. You do not have to be a scientist to know how rotary encoders work. Getting to know how such things work usually takes some time, but such things are easy to learn. If you do not believe me, you can always try checking it out for yourself. Conducting small science experiments at home can help you understand many laws of science even if you had problems understanding them in the past. Kids too love learning new and interesting things about physics or mathematics. You might encourage them to conduct some small experiments themselves wit some small encoders or engines to show them how those things work. I have always believed that kids can learn the most if they can try to do something on their own. Want to teach your kids something about motors? This should not be a problem at all.
